The steel roof of a sports court: curved steel arches stand on concrete piers and are linked by longitudinal tie beams.

Project notes

Steel roof structure for a sports court, built in 2016. The roof is made up of a series of curved steel arches whose feet sit on concrete piers, tied together into one structure by longitudinal beams. The photos show the erection stage: a crane and an aerial work platform are on site, workers are working from a platform in mid-air, and curved members waiting to be lifted lie on the ground.
