Project notes

The steelwork on this project was split between outdoors and indoors. The roadside sign frame is made of green round tubes: a curved main tube on the outside, connected to the inner posts by horizontal bars and bracing, with the column bases fixed by base plates and bolts, and cantilevers extending above and below to hold the signboards. Indoors there is a steel mezzanine, steel stairs with checkered plate treads, and round-tube railings; part of the mezzanine floor had not yet been laid. In the photos the signboards are already hung on the frame, while work indoors is still in progress.
