In renovating an existing factory, what takes the most time is not the construction but deciding which existing members can stay and which must be replaced.

Renovation of the existing factory building at Shisheng’s new plant, carried out from March to June 2022.
The biggest difference between renovation and new construction is assessing existing conditions: how badly the existing steel is corroded, where the roof leaks actually come from, and whether the sheet fasteners still hold all have to be checked before the scope can be set. A wrong call does not just cost more money; it means the problem is still there after the renovation.
